MyPupwise is an editorial guide for everyday life with dogs in apartments about everyday life with dogs in apartments.
What this project does
It organizes general public guidance into practical questions, planning tools, and original editorial drafts. There is no claimed veterinary team, product-testing lab, or commercial partnership. Articles are added as the editorial calendar grows. Each draft needs an accountable human editor and relevant professional review before publication.
How the questionnaire works
Version 1.1 uses the current registry dataset and deterministic rules. It does not use live AI, random recommendations, or compatibility percentages. Housing restrictions, recurring long absences without care, very limited time, an unresearched or very low budget, and an absent unexpected-expense plan can stop the shortlist.
The 6-hour-plus absence and limited-time bands are conservative editorial planning flags, not veterinary thresholds. The under-$100 budget band prompts local cost research; it is not a verified national cost minimum. Higher budget bands never establish affordability.

The directory contains 297 breed and variety entries from the AKC public directory, plus a mixed-breed pathway. The questionnaire only scores entries with supplied weight, activity, and grooming fields. A reported weight limit excludes a breed when its source range extends above the limit. Missing data is never assumed to pass a criterion. A score below 3 is not shortlisted; 3–9 is a possible match; 10 or more can be a strong match to explore when housing, funding, and care arrangements do not have unresolved flags. These cutoffs are editorial judgments, not validated predictive measures.
Up to three breed profiles are shown. An adult mixed-breed dog is always offered as an individual-assessment alternative, outside scoring; it is not presumed to meet a weight limit. Weather, age, work pattern, access needs, family composition, and experience generate contextual planning notes rather than stereotypes. No number of hours alone is promised for any breed.
Sources and corrections
Sources are linked at the end of articles and profiles. The source-check date records consultation, not professional approval. Breed-data properties include a source key, date, and whether a value is an editorial interpretation. Activity and grooming tiers are broad planning categories. Unknown costs, dimensions, author identities, and review dates remain unfilled.
A growing editorial library
MyPupwise is designed for a daily publishing rhythm. New articles can be added, reviewed, scheduled, and published from WordPress without changing the site structure. The current collection is a starting library, not a limit on the publication.

The current guides compare categories and care arrangements. They do not claim measured product performance, current prices, availability, or hands-on tests. There are no purchase links. The prepared affiliate-link registry is empty; the site’s current policy excludes affiliate links as well.
